Corio Law was founded by Jamie T. Corio in East Hampton in 2005. With a focus on residential and commercial real estate markets, we have represented buyers, sellers, landlords, lessees, and developers in hundreds of transactions totaling over half a billion dollars. Additionally, the firm’s practice includes land use, business formation and development, litigation and trusts and estates matters.
Each client is approached with respect and professionalism. Our mutual success relies on our experience and ability to resolve unique issues effectively and efficiently. Integrity, honesty, and respect are foundational values of the firm that have forged productive relationships with clients, counterparts and adversaries alike in New York and the Hamptons for over 20 years.
Jamie T. Corio, born and raised in Woodstock, New York, obtained his B.A. from Fordham College in 1994 and his law degree from the Fordham University School of Law in 1999. For six years, he practiced as an associate at New York firms Wilson, Elser and Sedgwick, Detert, with a focus on commercial litigation, insurance and business matters. While at Sedgwick, Jamie was an integral part of the team that administered the recovery and repatriation of hundreds of safe deposit boxes that had been destroyed in the attacks of September 11.
Shortly after being married, Jamie moved to the Hamptons and served of counsel to Caleca & Towner, P.C. before opening his own practice in 2005. As the principal attorney, he remains the point of contact for the firm.
